20 Years of Innovation in the Manufacture of Steel Lattice Towers

ESTUDENER was founded in 2003 as an engineering firm focused on renewable energy.

Among our first projects were the recalculation and optimisation of lattice towers manufactured by third parties. We soon detected a widespread shortcoming in the market: many designs did not correctly apply European standards (Eurocode) or optimise the final height of each tower based on the expected loads (especially wind and ice) at each site.

The traditional approach, based on fixed heights, did not guarantee safety or structural optimisation.

In addition, the usual system of fastening with screws and nuts prevented hot-dip galvanising, significantly reducing durability in humid environments.

In 2005, we decided to develop our own tower, a project that crystallised in the LT47 model: a braced lattice tower, hot-dip galvanised and fastened using an innovative system of bushings and pins.

At the same time, we implemented our own methodology in which each model was optimised according to the specific loads of each project.

The emergence of ESTUDENER was a real revolution in the sector and established a new technical standard that is now followed by most European manufacturers.

Over the past 20 years, we have expanded our catalogue with new models of braced and self-supporting lattice towers, always maintaining our hallmark: optimised designs, tailored to each customer’s needs and accompanied by a wide range of solutions and accessories for towers.

In recent years, at ESTUDENER we have incorporated state-of-the-art manufacturing methods which, combined with a first-class technical team, enable us to offer manufacturing for third parties with excellent quality and competitive prices.
